Listening while traveling across the US
My daughter, who is helping me set up a website for my new business, introduced me to your podcasts. We love them!! We are getting great ideas for our art businesses from your well thought out questions in the interviews you conduct. Thank you so much for creating this podcast!!!

Great Show for the Art Industry
As a former Art student….I wish I had this show growing up to help inspire and teach me how to create a business in the Art Industry. Now so many artists will benefit from this show.

Perfect Artist Podcast
From tips to plan and organize (Episode 15)...so you get more time for painting to lots of conversations with amazing Artists! Even for this hobby oil painter this show rocks!

Savvy Painter
What a treasure trove! I've been recommending this to all of my friends in the arts, especially those of us who paint. Not only do I love your name, "Antrese," I deeply respect your "back story" and vision. There is much to learn and like here, not the least of which is the importance of determination, perseverance, and courage. Congratulations!

Great show
No more roadblocks for Artists that long to have their work seen, except whatever is holding them back inside themselves. Antrese can help with that!

Just great
Antrese helps with my windshield time fly by with inspirational guests. Finally an art podcast that isn't a lecture series. Keep up the good work!

I truly love all your interviews
Antrese Wood, I truly love all your interviews but I wanted to pay a special compliment on this one with Karen. Really connected with so many things she said - she is putting words around concepts that I've just recently begun to consider. Wonderful! I also love how you are able to 'go there' with everyone you interview and this podcast is another inspirational one! Thank you!

Artist
This is the best artist interview podcast I have found, I highly recommend it to my fellow artist friends!

Where the easel and life meet
Love this podcast. A terrific mix and yet balanced with great takeaways. Keep it coming!

Deeper than it looks!
It took me a while to check this podcast out, because of the title of the show I was expecting mostly marketing tips & that sort of thing. I was afraid it might be a bit glib & superficial...or worse, lessons in how to sell out. I was very happily surprised that Antrese's conversation with artists go far deeper, with discussions not only about business matters & technique, but artistic philosophies & intensely personal experiences relating to the making of art. I do appreciate the helpful marketing stuff (we all need, like it or not), but even more the insights into individual artists' varied approaches to their work & careers. I've also discovered artists here that I might never have encountered otherwise. Thank you, Antrese!

Inspiring
I love this podcast. It's full of information and inspiring. I feel like I'm sitting around drinking coffee with friends while I learn about the art world. It's my favorite thing to listen to it in the studio.

Absolutely excited for this show!!
Antrese is the perfect host for this topic. She sheds light on a topic that is so important for artists and creators alike. It was great listening to the first episode and I can't wait for more to come out. Great Job Antrese!

Great podcast for lonely painters
Only discovered this podcast recently - I listen to it every time I come into the studio. Its great. I love how Antrese allows the conversation to become philosophical. That is when it becomes most helpful to me. Fave interviews so far are Tom Wudl and Alvaro Castagnet. Thanks for doing these podcasts Antrese and please don't stop.

Super
Very enjoyable interviews with lots of great information. Antrese is really great at interviewing her guest.

A podcast for artists looking for a mentor
Antrese is a great interviewer of highly acclaimed artists and entrepreneurs who are willing to share their unguarded perspective on Art and all avenues it encompasses. Each episode has been a valuable reminder of how important it is as an artist to find other artists to talk to. She is having the conversations we all want to have and putting them out there for our benefit.

Inspiring!
So thankful to have seen artist Carol Marine mention this series on her blog, and I'm thrilled I took time to check it out. Topics and the interviewees are diverse but very relevant to working artists. Creating art can be a solitary discipline, and listening to the podcasts is a wonderful way to get out of your little bubble and see how the real world works and how other artists think and create. The other thing I really like is that the podcasts are not too long 🙂 Antrese is great at asking the right questions and pulling out the most important info from her guests.

Artists who share their pragmatic as well as visionary sides
Great questions. Artists who share their pragmatic as well as visionary sides. It's such a generous contribution to the sometimes-solitary world of an artist, and I'm soaking up all I can, learning more each episode. Thank you, Antrese, for such a wonderful asset that also brings gift after gift of "Yes! I needed to hear that!"

A very important resource for fine art painters
Fantastic podcast. I've been searching for a long time for a podcast that talked about living ones life as a painter and the concerns that come along with making a living on one's Art. Thank you very much for spending the time and resources to produce this great show.

I am 63, had no art education and a self taught weaver
I am 63, had no art education while in school and was a self taught weaver for 25 years. I always wanted to paint but my feelings of lack: training, no magical encounter with a mentor etc held me back until about 46! Working and raising children has made me practice somewhat inconsistent but more and more I am grounded in a passion for painting and learning everything I can. This podcast is an amazing gift. I can never catch up to people who grew up with parents who saw and nurtured their talent, or who went to art school and had mentors like Israel Hershberg. Nevertheless, I am so grateful or what I do have. THANK you for these lessons, stories and insights! I feel very nurtured and encouraged. You ask really good questions.

Intelligent informative and fun
Listening to Antrese's podcast is a highlight of my day! It is like being in an intelligent, informative and fun conversation every day. I listen to the episodes over and over because as I progress in my art, I hear different things. A must have for artists of all kinds. Her website is full of fabulous information!

Love this podcast!
These podcasts are so inspiring and informative! The Tom Wudl episode in particular was fantastic.

SO needed
How to make art a business...so needed in the creative arts.

I like it that Antrese gets right into the content with good clear sound. This is a podcast with useful and practical information for artists and business. And, it's entertaining. Antrese has a nice rapport with the guests and the laughter makes the podcast enjoyable to listen! Thanks! Keep 'em coming Antrese 🙂

Motivates me to keep pushing for better results
These artists are incredibly talented and insightful. On their recommendations, I have bought books, changed some supplies and tried all sorts of new things. They're making me think of my work in new ways. Antrese is excellent at pulling the good stuff out go these guys. Amazing job!

My encouraging painting buddy!
I have been listening to the Savvy Painter Podcast for nearly a year now and it has become a staple each week. I listen while painting in my studio and it engages my left brain and leaves me feeling encouraged and inspired to keep on painting. Also, I have been introduced to so many different artists that I hadn't known. I can't imagine not having the Savvy Painter as a resource and painting buddy!

A much needed resource for working artists!
Antrese Wood is an artist I admire greatly. With her at the helm and hosting this conversation, these podcast interviews will not only be informative, interesting and authentic, I know they will be fun too. I cannot wit to tune in and pick up some insights on how other artists work and how they get their artwork out there, seen and SOLD. This is certain to be a much needed resource for working artists and I'm looking forward to becoming a regular listener. Thanks, Antrese!

Fantastic Opportunity!
I am a new and very enthusiastic fan of Savvy Painter, I experience so much learning and inspiration from the interviews that Antrese does with an abundance of talented, interesting artists. I love her conversational style and openness. I am engaged and delighted to have this amazing opportunity that she has created with this podcast. Thank you Antrese! Great Podcast for All
Antrese’s passion shines through. Artists sharing their stories actually provide great principles for all entrepreneurs and business owners. Hear about marketing, promoting, email lists, and more talented and successful people.

FABULOUS! Jam packed with information, fun to listen to
I have been waiting for a podcast like this for such a long time and it is FABULOUS! Jam packed with information, fun to listen to. Antrese's voice is soothing, and the information is motivational. I listen to it while painting, and relisten while watching the dog because I know that I missed some information. The episode with "get it done" author Sam Bennett was really uplifting.

Insightful interviews that appeal to artists at any stage of their career
All of my friends are probably sick of hearing about Savvy Painter from me, but I can't stop recommending this show. Every episode is a goldmine, whether the interview is with another artist, a teacher, financial planner, blogger, collector, gallery owner...You name it and Antrese Wood has had a conversation with them. The show is informative AND entertaining. And she's not just rehashing what has already been covered in other interviews or writings. Antrese does her homework and doesn't let her interviewees off the hook and glib answers. The show makes me go back and re-listen to episodes (and take notes) to make sure I didn't miss anything. What a valuable resource!
As a painter herself, Antrese knows what it’s like to be an artist. She’s intimately familiar with the highs and lows of creating, marketing, and selling art. She has walked the tightrope of creating authentic, meaningful work and making a living as an artist.
