Love This Podcast
This is another podcast I love to listen to while driving or working in the studio. I'm not sure how many times I've listened to Hollis Dunlap and Mark Trujillo. At least five or six times each. Keep up the good work.

Thank you soo much for the heart and passion...
Thank you soo much for the heart and passion you have put into Savvy Painter! I am constantly inspired and challenged by you and your guest. Thank you for making this happen and for pulling our worlds together. I am a Senior CG artist at The Basement in Indianapolis with almost thirteen years in the field. My foundation and true love in fine art, Pen and Ink, and oil painting. My strength is drawing but my goal is impressionism oil painting.
Here are my top two struggles. With impressionism with oils...is "when to stop." I tend to push the painting past the moment when I should stop...losing the brush strokes, color, and original heart of the painting. My second struggle is finding time as s a husband, father of two, and full time employee. I can't put into words how blessed I am but I struggle while finding time to put paint to the canvas and learning more. Drawing is different...I draw all the time while working, while at lunch.
Thank you again for your heart and passion you put into Savvy Painter. Continue doing what you do and blessing others!

A Life Changer
Wow! I listen to your podcasts while I paint. I love the whole package. The content is so rich, nearly every podcast has me rushing over to my desk to write down a pearl that either affirms something I was feeling in the back of my mind, or sparks a new direction of thought. Oh, I can't tell you how much I appreciate these. You and your guests are contributing something life changing. Thank you!

“I love listening to this show. It’s one of the few that, if my podcast player keeps giving me more episodes of it in a row, I don’t mind a bit. It is exactly what I need to learn to believe in my own creativity.

Savvy Painter
This podcast should be in every artist's library!

Savvy Painter, Savvy Podcast
Antrese has an amazing story and brings conversations that are lively and energetic. Great work. Keep it up!

How Refreshing
What a wonderful idea! I love to hear stories from other artists. Your story is amazing, Antrese, as is your work. You go girl! I look forward to hearing more podcasts.

Loved the Nathan Fawkes Review!
Thanks for this wonderful podcast! I loved hearing from Nathan Fawkes. I am really looking forward to listening to more since this is my first time hearing your podcasts. Keep up the good work!

Great show for artists!
What a cool concept for a podcast. Makes me really wish I had better art skills. Keep up the great work!

A gift!
This podcast is a gift for artists. As a painter, I spend a lot of time alone in my studio. Listening to Antrese is like talking shop with the professionals any time I need inspiration. It's great to hear other artists going through similar challenges, sharing ideas, and discussing the subjects that would otherwise just be random thoughts in my head. Antrese unpacks these ideas and gives listeners a lot to chew on. I had the honor of meeting Antrese at her plein air workshop in March of 2015. She's a delight. A great listener and artist, passionate about painting, and cares about the art community. Her podcast brings this community closer. Thank you for this great service!

Great interview with Camille
Perfect to have on while painting in the studio. I loved this one with Camille, now I will check out the others!

Informative and Entertaining!
The Savvy Painter podcast are so informative. I feel incredibly lucky to have found this show. This is real information from and for real people who are looking to build a real art business. The content is so relevant, the artist interviews are enlightening, and the advice is ready to use. Thank you so much, Savvy Painter! I look forward to every episode.

You gotta get paid!
This is an awesome podcast with great interviews! Thanks for sharing!

Excellent!
Very helpful and engaging. Great resource!

Intelligent informative and fun
Listening to Antrese's podcast is a highlight of my day! It is like being in an intelligent, informative and fun conversation every day. I listen to the episodes over and over because as I progress in my art, I hear different things. A must have for artists of all kinds. Her website is full of fabulous information!

Immensely helpful and informative
So many of use who make/do art...do it alone. This is a great chance to hear from others about their failures and successes that have allowed them to grow and prosper. Some of the interviews answer important questions that I didn't even know I wanted to ask. Thank you for the variety of people you interview. And thank you for the follow-up info regarding the artists mentioned. I am a better artist because of this podcast.

It’s as if she peeked into my soul!
“Artist are awe hunters”. This episode truly opened my eyes to how I view my experiences as ordinary. And somehow neglect to include them in my art. As a mother who has to keep it together, I find myself scattered when it comes to my art. This reminded me to loosen up and remain centered. Thank you!

I listened to the latest podcast with Sarah Intermann and LOVED it! I felt like I was totally eavesdropping on two artists having a real down to earth conversation. Her impulsive process and shifting mediums was a breath of fresh air. I have to shift things around almost everyday these days to keep myself present. I'm not sure who the artist was that you spoke to that had a separate room for each artistic expression? I'd love that. A reading room, a knitting room, a painting studio, a ceramic studio, a sewing room etc. etc...and of course my nice kitchen to bake in !!!!
My life is chaotic - surprise! And I always try to get to the podcasts and updated on all things 'Savvy'. You continue to be one of my polestars when I am adrift and even though I'm physically IN my studio, I'm just not quite able to 'GET to it' due to other life commitments (teenagers that are on the precipice of leaping) but need help...or maybe a shove !! ha ha :-). I send you peace and love and one day - I swear it - I'm going to write a check and send it your way. I'm just not quite there yet, but will make more of an effort to share your podcast link on a regular basis. Thank you for your thoroughness and follow through and for continuing to create stable, informative, fun, intelligent yet absorbable presentations and interviews. Thank you for staying with it even when you didn't have your computer!!! Wow!

Who listens to podcasts to get them through long commutes in the car?
The Savvy Painter Podcast is a great source of information and inspiration. Use it to expand your knowledge bank of contemporary artists (backstories/techniques), well-known art manufacturers such as Gamblin, Artist Colors, Gamblin Artists Colors, Rosemary & Co. Artists Brushes, etc. about their products, and marketing solutions

Love love love!
Antrese is the perfect mentor to have with you in the studio. Here I am set up with 6 WIPs on easels, house-sitting while my daughter is on holiday, with 3 days of just myself & painting to focus on - bliss. Love my 3 grandsons but totally loving this as a quiet space for a change. What shall I do first? Will I finish any of them? Can I mix that colour again? How will I get them back home if they are all wet with fresh oil paint? I need some help to focus and who better than the Savvy Painter podcast. How to Create Clarity ... oh boy how spot on was this! Just like all of her podcasts Antrese hits the nail right on the head - trust yourself and take your next best step! I've listened to it over and over to get those messages deep in my psyche and it's working! Thank you so much Antrese for your coaching skills that dispel the myths that deny us the pleasure of enjoying what we do. We can get on with believing in ourselves rather than waiting for outside confirmation. love Love LOVE this podcast!

Great Resource!
Thank you Antrese for the bringing such a variety of artists' perspectives. Wonderful to listen to and helpful for creative blocks and staying loose in practicing making art. I look forward to hearing many more!

Antrese is here to make the sticky parts not just easier, but still creative (!) - Love Antrese's perspective!
The business of art can detract from the process, which needs to be creative. Antrese is here to make the sticky parts not just easier, but still creative (!) - which is instrumental in helping you as an artist succeed in business. Go Antrese!

Ebullient interviews that are entertaining and informative
Interviewing and making it interesting is difficult. And that to a visual topic on an audio only medium and it's at expert level. Host Antrese Wood handles this so deftly that you can't even see the brush strokes. Even when a guest misinterprets a question and answers in a fractal way, she encourages and nourishes this surprise branch and delves deeper. Her website has the gallery and bibliography for every episode (which is oh so helpful to not only see the art being discussed but to learn about any other artists being referenced). Put a red dot on this podcast, I'm sold.

Perfect Artist Podcast
From tips to plan and organize (Episode 15)...so you get more time for painting to lots of conversations with amazing Artists! Even for this hobby oil painter this show rocks!

A Wealth of Insight and Information
Thank you so much for this podcast series hearing from other artists is invaluable. The episode with Mitchell Johnson was especially engaging - his wealth of insight and passion for color and painting palpable; and has me starting on some more in-depth color study. Your episode with Gabe Fernandez was also really great, especially hearing of the experiences and interests behind his paintings.

Terrific and informative on the subject matter
This podcast does a terrific job interviewing some of the most interesting contemporary painters around. Any painter can find interesting discussions here from working artist about their various methods and their thinking about the art business and the making of art. Good background information and technical information on working methods is always included and artists often mention surprising insights on their personal development. Antrese is a fun, engaging and interested host and she lets the artists tell their own stories with little prompting. Some aspects of painting discussed might feel a bit obscure to a casual listener, but in-depth interview material is actually the best part of the show, since it is rarely presented in print or other formats. Absolutely recommended for any artist or painter at any level from rank beginner to working professional.

Inspiring!
So thankful to have seen artist Carol Marine mention this series on her blog, and I'm thrilled I took time to check it out. Topics and the interviewees are diverse but very relevant to working artists. Creating art can be a solitary discipline, and listening to the podcasts is a wonderful way to get out of your little bubble and see how the real world works and how other artists think and create. The other thing I really like is that the podcasts are not too long 🙂 Antrese is great at asking the right questions and pulling out the most important info from her guests.

FABULOUS! Jam packed with information, fun to listen to
I have been waiting for a podcast like this for such a long time and it is FABULOUS! Jam packed with information, fun to listen to. Antrese's voice is soothing, and the information is motivational. I listen to it while painting, and relisten while watching the dog because I know that I missed some information. The episode with "get it done" author Sam Bennett was really uplifting.
As a painter herself, Antrese knows what it’s like to be an artist. She’s intimately familiar with the highs and lows of creating, marketing, and selling art. She has walked the tightrope of creating authentic, meaningful work and making a living as an artist.
Antrese inspires tens of thousands of artists every month with her top ranked podcast, and works directly with members of her Growth Studio membership program to guide them past creative doubts and overwhelm, and gives them concrete tips to build the skills they need to create their best work.
